According to the company, its latest API is well documented and easily understood. And, a major differentiator from others in the space, it does not require building a phone system from the ground up. Instead, the API is already plugged into a full-feature VoIP solution.

“Year over year we see more and more business moving to the cloud,” said CEO Ari Rabban (News - Alert). “A big part of the appeal is the ability to customize your solution. A number of firms are already leveraging the library of APIs, from LiftMaster (News - Alert) aiding its field installers to AppCard providing proactive customer support the uses are many, varied and the APIs are quite effective.

“Our monitoring system can detect an offline card reader and use an API to generate a call to the store in order to proactively help the business owner resolve the problem,” Winnick said. “Similarly, when a customer’s card is declined, we can initiate a call to the customer allowing them to update their information.”

The team will be participating in a couple sessions at the inaugural API event.
