The name of the game in the business world these days is staying connected, but that doesn’t mean a businessman needs to make sure he is in the office at all times. Mobility is the other name of the game and there are more than a few recent reports that underline that sentiment. The most recent report actually believes that the Global Enterprise Mobility Market is set to explode from its $6.6 billion mark in 2014 to a massive $11.2 billion by the end of 2022. That is a CAGR of 6.83 percent.

That particular growth shouldn’t be all that surprising considering that massive growth of businesses that are using mobile phones these days. BYOD policies have changed the way companies are able to do business because people can bring their own cellphones and PDAs as well as tablets and use all of them as communication devices. Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) has been another thing that has changed the way businesses conduct their day to day operations.

Even VoIP has changed over the last few years. There was a time when a company had to have a physical handset sitting on a desk in order to make the tech work. Now mobile phones are able to actually support this particular technology to the point where the person on the other end doesn’t even know a business person is using a mobile device or even a device like a tablet that isn’t necessarily geared towards making phone calls.

Obviously there are still some issues that could end up holding back the mobility market in the business world. Security is the biggest issue when it comes to companies adopting mobile solutions. There are always questions about who a company is going to choose when it comes provider. Finding a provider who can answer those questions, and having more providers out there that can answer those questions is going to help the market grow at an impressive rate over the next decade.
