Fonality (News - Alert), a provider of business phone systems and integrated communications solutions, was recently named the winner of TMC’s 2013 Unified Communications Excellence Award presented by INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine. The company also announced that it plans to provide eAgent integration and paper fax machine support for the solution.

Fonality’s solutions for insurance professionals enable the companies to view the real-time status of all their agents whether they’re in the office or on the road. The companies can also generate call reports to monitor important metrics like number of outbound calls made, and call duration. Also, all customer calls can be recorded on the fly for training purposes to enhance sales skills and improve customer service.

The solution features Heads Up Display that connects the phone, desktop, and other important business applications into one single easy-to-use dashboard. Agents can make calls, schedule meetings, check voicemail, send faxes, chat with colleagues, and more, all from a single computer screen.

“This award is particularly meaningful to Fonality because it underscores our commitment to meeting the needs of insurance industry professionals,” said David Scult, Fonality CEO. “As today’s announcements make clear, we are dedicated to continued innovation specifically designed to improve the business process of insurance agents and agency owners.”

“It gives me great pleasure to grant a 2013 Unified Communications (News - Alert) Excellence Award to Fonality for its innovative insurance communications solution and the team’s commitment to addressing the real needs of the marketplace,” said Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), CEO, TMC. “It’s inspiring to see such commitment to excellence and I look forward to many future innovations from Fonality.”

In related news, Fonality recently announced a trade-in program for businesses stuck using traditional phone systems and PBXs from several popular manufacturers, including Nortel, Mitel, Cisco, and Avaya (News - Alert). Fonality’s trade-in program is available starting immediately in all markets.
