Duo Delivers Optimized Cloud Communications
Cloud-based telephony is nothing new, but is clearly having its day in the sun at the moment. As more businesses look into this burgeoning technology and its benefits, adoption continues to soar as firms sing its praises. The market is growing and the results speak for themselves. It is important, however, to do one’s due diligence in selecting a solution, as they are not “one-size-fits-all and attempting to cram a square peg into a round hole never ends well.
A newly announced partnership between Enabling Technologies and CallTower is focused on lending MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions a hand in maximizing its Office 365 deployment’s potential. The Seattle-based architectural and engineering company turned to the pair because its Mitel (News - Alert) phone system was expiring and causing more problems than productivity, so it needed a change to something that better aligned with its processes and demands.
CallTower (News - Alert) and Enabling Technologies are capable of providing on-premises functionality of enterprise-quality business communications technologies from the cloud. The partnership enabled Skype for Business (hosted by CallTower) for MacDonald-Miller, in addition to Polycom phones and the Clarity (News - Alert) Connect contact center.
Now, MacDonald-Miller can keep its sights set on business initiatives; the feature-rich and fully functional cloud-based system alleviates the IT headaches of daily maintenance and the menial tasks involved in phone system management.
“The simple native O365 integration delivers, real-time, ready-to-go results in a fast-paced competitive business environment, “says CallTower’s VP of Sales, Tom Sullivan. “Our partnership with Enabling Technologies provides seamless enterprise voice integration into Office 365, leveraging the cost of an existing license.”
For some time, cloud communications were shrouded in questions – from security to performance – but today this most recent announcement serves as yet another notch in the adoption belt. The time for cloud is now.
