C&W Business Launches Hosted Collaboration Solution (HCS) on Demand
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) recently revised its outlook for the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region with a modest uptick for 2017. One of the drivers for the optimistic outlook is the growth in information and communications technologies (ICT). This has led companies like C&W Communications (C&W) to offer a managed unified solution that will deliver faster client collaboration, making it the first provider to deliver the service across the LAC region.
The launch of Hosted Collaboration Solution (HCS) on Demand, a managed Unified Collaboration Service powered by Cisco (News - Alert) will be offered by C&W Business, a division of C&W Communications. The collaboration between both companies was announced at Cisco Live! which is being held in Mexico.
With HCS on Demand, C&W will have a managed unified collaboration platform capable of bringing organizations across the LAC region by leveraging IP-enabled collaboration tools.
The service will be hosted by C&W Business at its data centers through its fault-tolerant terrestrial and submarine SIP-enabled fiber IP network. It has more than 26,000 miles of fiber across the LAC, delivering highly secure and reliable data, voice and video services on its MEF (News - Alert) CE 2.0 certified network across LAC, which according to the company is the only one in the region with this certification.
"Our HCS on Demand solution is secure, offers strong SLA's, and is supported by a business-class infrastructure with a certified team that uses a simplified deployment model. We will have customers up and running in no time, from anywhere, anytime and from any device," said Daniel Peiretti, SVP Product Development and Management, C&W Business.
When fully deployed, users will be able to accelerate day-to-day business processes without having to invest for on premises installations and the IT staff required to deploy, maintain and operate their own PBX (News - Alert) or UCC platform. The HCS on Demand doesn't have any upfront expenditure, it has predictable per-user monthly costs so customers only pay for what they need, making unified communications more affordable for this region.
The HCS on Demand offers voice and video communications, mobility, messaging, presence, web and video conferencing, and contact center with access to cloud-based resources. These solutions can be accessed quickly and easily with options to ramp up or down to address demand as needed.
With a population of more than 626 million as of 2015, the LAC region is still developing in terms of ICT deployments. The availability of HCS on Demand can bring the disparate systems in the region together so they can be part of the collaborative workforce trend taking place in developed countries around the world.
